Frequently Asked Questions:
How does the Venus Energycube work?
When there is power on the grid, Venus Energycube can save you money by storing energy when prices are low and discharging when they are high, or by charging during the day via solar panels and discharging at night. When the grid is interrupted, Venus Energycube can be charged by the solar panels and used as a back-up power source for important appliances.
How can I control the input/output of the Venus Energycube?
Initially, the Venus Energycube needs to be added to the Marstek App. You can then choose to manually set the time and power for charging and discharging. Alternatively, you can choose adaptive discharge mode when paired with a smart meter.
Which smart meters are compatible with Venus Energycube?
Venus currently supports Marstek Smart Meter CT002 and Shelly Pro 3em. If you use a P1 meter, the Marstek CT003 can be used for smart energy distribution.
What charging methods does the Venus Energycube support?
On the one hand, the Venus Energycube can be charged via AC cable with a maximum charging power of 2500W via the mains. On the other hand, by connecting the Venus Energycube to the same phase as the PV system, the Venus can also be charged by the PV system. The maximum charging power here is also 2500W.
Can the capacity of the Venus Energycube be extended?
Venus C capacity is 2560 Wh and Venus E capacity is 5120 Wh. The capacity of the batteries cannot be extended. However, you can install several Venus Energycube on the same phase to increase the backup capacity on that phase.
